Once, a Togo stood in the living room—not a piece of furniture, but a faithful companion. Its soft cushions and flowing lines offered a safe haven where children played, lovers snuggled up with a glass of wine, and friends told their stories. The sofa bore the marks of life—the leather softened over time, but the spirit still vivid. And when the moment for change arrived, the Togo moved with it, ready to shine again in a new home.
The soft cognac leather of this Togo embodies a timeless elegance that combines effortlessly with any interior style. This semi-aniline leather, with its delicate touch, offers the luxury of aniline leather without the usual maintenance complexity. Semi-aniline leather retains its semi-open pores, which gives the hide a certain suppleness and softness.
The design itself is just as much a statement; its form speaks a language that even those without in-depth knowledge of design will recognize.

Michel Ducaroy, born in 1925, grew up in a family of designers and furniture makers who applied their craftsmanship in both private homes and large-scale projects for exhibitions and official buildings. With this background, he trained at the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Lyon and learned the tricks of the trade in the family business. In 1952, he decided to start working as an independent designer.
After his first collaboration with Roset in 1954, Ducaroy quickly became one of their key designers. In the early years of Ligne Roset, he was a pioneer, constantly pushing and innovating technological possibilities. In 1968, he designed one of the first modular, all-foam chairs, the low-seated Adria, followed by designs such as the Kashima and Safi, which combined large cushions on an Altuglas frame.
His masterpiece came in 1973 with the creation of the iconic Togo. This series of all-foam seating, featuring covers generously padded with polyester, offers a unique blend of comfort and style that fits into virtually any interior. The design became a timeless classic and remains one of Ligne Roset's bestsellers to this day.
